I think bacteria are really cool and I’m constantly amazed by how much we can learn from them. I worked with Streptomyces morphology during my Master’s at UNAM in Mexico City. After that I did a PhD on flagellar regulation in Vibrio in Germany, and now I joined the Brun lab to develop high-throughput screens to discover new chemical tools and antibiotics. I also enjoy learning new things outside the lab, like foraging local plants and mushrooms, how to ferment foods or simply new languages.
