Olivia Paxie

Postdoctoral Fellow

After completing my PhD on the fundamental bioenergetics and metabolism of the gram positive bacterium E. faecalis (Otago, NZ), I wanted to understand globally how environmental stressors shift the metabolome of bacteria. I am working to establish a high-throughput metabolomic platform to exploit these shifts to aid antimicrobial drug discovery. I love understanding the complexity of bacterial responses, and metabolism is just one large wasgij puzzle.

In my free time I love to rock climb, playing music, knitting, at board games, or travel!
