Sébastien Zappa

Research Scientist

After playing with enzymes from extremophilic archaea and various features of photosynthetic bacteria (photoreceptors, tetrapyrroles, iron homeostasis, encystment), I am now sticking to the world of bacterial adhesion. I obtained my PhD in 2002 from the National Polytechnic Institute of Lorraine (Nancy, France), before working as a post-doc at the Atomic Energy Commission (Cadarache, France) and as a research associate at Indiana University (USA). I finally joined the Université de Montréal (Canada) in 2019. My free time is busy with rock climbing, hiking, reading, cooking etc.
