The MicrobeJ ImageJ plug-in was developed for automated analysis of bacterial cell images.
MicrobeJ solves a critical need for an analytical tool that allows microbiologists to take full advantage of the large amount of data coming from the recent revolution in bacterial cell biology. MicrobeJ automates the analysis of the most common intensity and morphology measurements as well as analysis of spatial organization and spatial dynamics of tagged proteins. It enables customized detection of unique features (poles, septa, organelles), is optimized for high throughput, and has a rich user interaction.
Because a dynamic link is maintained between the images, measurements and all data representations derived from them, the editor and suite of advanced data presentation tools facilitates the image analysis process and provides a robust way to verify the accuracy and veracity of the data. Finally, a key aspect of MicrobeJ is that it is an extremely user friendly but yet powerful tool
Easy-to-use, Powerful & Microbiologist Ready!
